Here are photos of version 1.0 build of a classic go kart

      Using 2x4 wood. I've cut a 4 feet piece for the lenght of the go kart. Two pieces of 2.5 feet of wood for the width of the go kart

      I've used L brackets to hold the bicycle wheels

      I've screwed on 2 L bracket for each of the 2.5 feet pieces. The left side will be the front of the go kart and the right side will be the back of the go kart.

      Using 4 pieces of 3 inch screws to hold the back together

      I've screwed in a couple blocks of wood to the back of the go kart. These blocks is hold the base plate for the seat.

      Using 2 inch screws to screw down the base plate to the blocks.

      This is what it looks like with the base plate screwed onto the go kart.

      On the front of the go kart, I've drilled a hole for the 4 inch bolt for the basic classic steering system of the go kart.
    • Putting together the steering system

      Feed the bolt through the hole, then put 2 washer.

      Feed the other wood though the bolt. Added another washer with 2 nuts to finish off the steering.
    • Added 4 tires

      Screw on the 4 tires to the go kart
    • Steering block

      Added another block of wood for the steering to prevent it from over steering.
    • Foot rest

      Next I've screwed on the foot rest for the go kart.
    • The classic go kart hand brakes
      The classic go kart hand brakes 
      Used a small piece of wood, cut an angle on one end. Screwed it into the side of the cart with a couple of washers in between. I've added an addition screw to keep the handle of the hand brake raise a little so that you can grab it.
    • Circle screw eye

      Screw a circle screw eye on each side of the steering wood of the go kart.
    • Steering rope

      I've used some yellow rope and tied it to the circle screw eye for the steering.
    • Finishing touches
      Finishing touches 
      Found old princess cushion seat and added it to the go cart for some comfort. This pretty much completes the DIT Classic go kart verion 1.0 build. Now the fun part begins, test driving.
